How to Deal With Stress at Work

What do we usually do to quickly calm our nerves?

Use the 3-step formula

STEP#1

Situations at work are divided into 3 categories:
1. SITUATIONS OF TASKS. You have an urgent job, which blood from the nose needs to be done at the time. But unexpectedly there are various hindrances: additional tasks, partner arrivals, phone calls, meetings, etc. etc. This pisses you off.
2. THE SITUATION OF CHANGES. You have a new position, a new boss, a new workplace, etc. You are knocked out of the habitual working order and you are greatly annoyed.
3. THE SITUATION OF RELATIONS. You do not get along with a colleague, a boss, a client, a word with a person with whom you are forced to communicate according to your occupation. This someone is making you angry.
Any of these situations in your work can pretty much shake your nerves and to calm them will take a considerable time. But you can stop the situation while it is still in the bud. For this, it needs to be recognized in time.

STEP#2
The command "SWITCH ON NEUTRAL", attention! THIS STEP IS THE MOST IMPORTANT! On it is necessary to stop more in detail. Actually, at this stage, there is a calming of the nerves. To do this, shift your attention to your bodily sensations. You calm breathing, relieve muscle tension. This can take from a few seconds to several minutes. Everything will depend on your fitness. For such training, there are simple and very effective exercises for self-regulation, which can be learned at the training or independently.

Step#3
The command “COLLECT HEIGHT”, in a calm state, feels you above the situation. So a person observes the swarming of ants in an anthill. Look at the situation through the eyes of an outside observer. What will you see? Let's look at examples for each group of situations.
THE SITUATION OF TASK, we define priorities and ignore or transfer secondary tasks for later. We delegate part of the work to other people. Argumentedly refuse where we see fit.
THE SITUATION OF CHANGES, now you see that nothing has changed radically. There was no earthquake, tsunami, fire, and flood. With you everything is in order. There are no grounds for experience at all.
THE SITUATION OF RELATIONS, now you see that your conflicts are only working moments and nothing more. Here you are a player and play by the rules. Other people here are also players. But some people sometimes forget about it. Then they break on emotions. To the benefit of them it does not go. But you are not one of them because you do not care and you feel good.
That's all. Nothing complicated, as you can see. But what an effect! Use this method, and you will not have to calm your nerves either at work or outside it.
